Installation of the Technicis pleated cardboard filter

Pleated cardboard filters manufactured by Technicis Filtration are designed for filtering the mist generated when spraying paint or varnish with a gun.

They are suitable for use both in open so-called “wall” cabins (horizontal air flow) or in closed cabins with floor suction (vertical air flow).

Technicis Filtration pleated cardboard filters are compatible with all paint booths on the market (all brands: OMIA, EUROPA, CORAL, SPANESI, EUROTHERM, ASTRA, LAGOS, CEFLA, VENJAKOB, SAVIM etc.).

Technicis Filtration produces filters in the following standard width/heights:

  • 1.25m
  • 1.20m
  • 1.10m
  • 1m
  • 0.90m
  • 0.75m
  • 0.70m

The length of the filter inside a box depends on its reference to obtain a surface area of 8 to 10m².

We also offer custom cut filters to fit all existing cabins.

SUCTION WALL

To begin, you must measure the width and height of the frame inside the suction wall (generally 2 to 3 filter heights).

  • the internal height of the frame will determine the choice of filter (standard Technicis Filtration filters are produced in heights ranging from 0.75m to 1.25m – custom cutting possible)
  • the width of the frame will allow you to cut the filter to the right length

GROUND SUCTION

To begin, you must measure the width and length of the span under the grating for floor suction.

  • The width of the span under the grating will determine the choice of filter (standard Technicis Filtration filters are produced in heights ranging from 0.75m to 1.25m – custom cutting possible)
  • The length of the span will determine the number of plies to count and cut. With the box on the ground or on a large workbench, take part of the filter out of its box, count 25 folds per meter, and cut using a cutter or knife.

For installation in existing frame:

  • Fold your filter for easier handling
  • Then lean your filter at an angle to easily insert it into its housing
  • Deploy the filter pleats across the entire width evenly
  • Be careful not to install the filter upside down, if it is white: the white side is facing you, if it is brown: check that the filter holes, facing you, are in the middle of the folds

Choose the ideal paint booth

A paint booth is designed to vacuum and filter hazardous substances such as oversprays (mist) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

It thus prevents the spread of particles, odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the workshop or outside.

In addition to protecting the environment and complying with regulations, it guarantees the safety of employees and facilities.

Isolating the painting process in a booth also ensures high quality work, free of contaminants like dust.
